Babyface AHA Serum is a fast absorbing, aloe & hyaluronic acid based serum with a silky feeling that contains a concentrated blend of five botanical extracts: bilberry, sugar cane, sugar maple, orange, and lemon. Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) have been used in skin care for many years. Originally, AHA’s were used mainly by dermatologists as skin peeling and moisturizing agents. The AHA’s we use in our serum are sourced from several species of plants which are put through an extraction process, which reduces color & odor, and concentrates the active principles. The acids produced after the breakdown of these ingredients is as follows: Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Citric Acid, Malic Acid and Tartaric Acid. At a 10% dilution, these AHA’s produced an average of 34% increase in cell renewal, and a 143% increase in the number of old cells exfoliated. Along with the potent 12% strength of AHA’s, we have added additional skin moisturizers to this formula to sooth and hydrate the skin.
